Hotel the niu Bricks opened in Hamburg-Eppendorf
With Hamburg's the niu Bricks, operator Novum Hospitality has opened the 25th hotel of this design-budget own brand.
The ten-story hotel at Christoph-Probst-Weg 33 in Hamburg-Eppendorf with 6,600 sqm GFA above ground was developed with 192 rooms, a large lobby, bar and bistro on a 2,700 sqm site by S&P Commercial Development, an associated company of the Sontowski & Partner Group from Erlangen, based on a design by Mäckler Architekten. The hotel was named after the clinker brick façade, which is in keeping with the historical context of the listed building.
Following the hotel the niu Keg in the Wandsbek district, the niu Bricks is the brand's second Hamburg location and 25th opening. In November 2019, Sontowski & Partner Group announced the sale to an institutional investor.
The hotel was completed on schedule and on budget despite Corona constraints. VITZTHUM Projektmanagement GmbH was fully commissioned with the project management services.
Deutsche Wohnen acquires stake in developer with EUR 2 billion project volume
Deutsche Wohnen has acquired a 40% stake in the Leipzig-based project developer Quarterback. Its pipeline consists of 70 projects with an investment volume of around 2 billion euros, primarily in the Dresden / Leipzig (62%) and Munich (8%) regions. The housing group announced this today in its half-year report. The fact that a deal with Quarterback was in the offing became known in March through an announcement by the Cartel Office, which, however, read like one of the then agreed portfolio purchases in Saxony. Together with Isaria, Deutsche Wohnen now has a new construction portfolio worth more than 5 billion euros. VITZTHUM Projektmangement GmbH was entrusted with the services of technical due diligence for the transaction.
Silva Mountain Resort project is restructured
The Silva Mountain hotel project in Mittenwald near Garmisch-Partenkirchen has to be re-evaluated and restructured due to a huge chunk of rock found in the construction area during current investigations. Construction costs alone are expected to increase by 5 million euros. The scheduling also has to be restructured and will result in significant shifts. Due to the new findings, investor Ulrich Franzky has commissioned VITZTHUM Projektmanagement GmbH, a company renowned in the management of critical projects, as project manager to provide support in this difficult situation and to successfully complete the project. Swiss Life buys Casinopark near Hamburg for 50 million euros
Swiss Life Asset Managers has acquired the “Casinopark” in Wentorf near Hamburg for the open real estate fund “Swiss Life REF (DE) European Living and Working”. The investment volume is approximately 50 million euros. The local supply and service center with around 12,000 m² of rental space consists of several buildings arranged around a market square. The seller, Concept Immobilien Projektentwicklungs GmbH, acquired the buildings from Gazit three years ago and has since revitalized them and largely re-rented them. Closing is expected mid-year; The property is then transferred to Corpus Sireo’s asset management. VITZTHUM Projektmanagement GmbH provided the buyer with technical advice and will also subsequently work on the property.
HanseMerkur buys apartment project from iLive in Stuttgart
The iLive Group has sold a serviced apartment project in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen to HanseMerkur Grundvermögen for the open-ended real estate special fund HMS Grundwerte Wohnen Plus III. 172 serviced apartments with sizes between 21 sqm and 40 sqm will be built on a 3,480 sqm plot on Salzwiesenstrasse. The property is scheduled to be completed in spring 2022. iLive will be the operator of the property. The transaction was technically supported by VITZTHUM Projektmanagement GmbH.
